PayJunction

Challenge accepted

PayJunction – a titan in the “point of sale” industry – wanted to redesign their desktop and mobile websites. They connected with us to help them do just that.

The foundation, the brand

The groundwork on which everything is built: the brand. We began by drawing out a lot of rough ideas, and used those to narrow down to a concept that is best suited for the vision of the company.

Iconography

Every icon was handcrafted with the PayJunction brand in mind. There isn’t an icon that feels out of place! Each icon follows the rules of geometry for visual appeal and consistency. The icons were also animated, as seen on the PayJunction homepage.

Product photography

Unfold was tasked with photography deliverables. For this part of the project, we started with the visual direction of the photographs, then taking the photos, and finalized with editing.

Photo retouch

Another aspect of the photography deliverables was retouching some existing photos to match the PayJunction branding.

Illustration

Our illustration process began with sketches and rough concepts. Once the drafts were approved, we vectorized them.

Web-facing side.

Placement is a key part of design, and everything has to follow a logical order. We take UI and UX very seriously, and always give our all when approaching these tasks.

Piecing it all together

Consistency in design is important for a good user experience. In order to keep the design fluid, we began by building out a Design System. You can see some of the components of the system below.

Equals rad result

The project wasn’t finished until PayJunction was completely satisfied. The end result is a website that speaks with their voice, and tells their story.

Padding on point,
8 point.

We went with 8 point padding on this project. This allowed for versatility in adding or removing space as needed.

Steps to responsive

Once the bulk of the work is done, we find ways to make the website responsive without losing the integrity of the design.

Blog headers ftw

We’ve been working with PayJunction for quite some time… Here are some of the headers we’ve had the opportunity to make!

Mobile app

Finger swiping good

In addition to the website – responsive, and all – we built out a mobile app for PayJunction. We used the Design System of the website to keep the app in line with the overall theme of PayJunction.

Payments fast

Keeping in line with their do-it-all attitude, PayJunction makes it possible to collect payments on mobile!

And that’s
how we do it
